Vedic Gram

Gaushala

Gaushala

At present Vedic gram has a gaushala with around 60 govansh belonging to the Ken Katha breed. Among them we have cows, oxen, Bulls and calves. They are fed with seasonal hey (chana, masoor, jwar etc.) and other green fodder along with concentrates like barley, chhokar khal etc. They graze in the nearby Barren land at least 6 hours per day. It is a local breed and has a very high immunity. The milk is used by the residents of Vedic gram and ghee is prepared from the rest of the milk according to the bilona method and is available for sale. Complete care is taken that the new born calves get enough milk and are Nourished properly.
